GB Sh Ch, Ir Sh Ch & Int Ch Gwendariff Coco Nut Cream CW’18

Elsie, GB Sh Ch & Ir Sh Ch and Int Ch Gwendariff Coco Nut Cream has now become the Gwendariff Kennel’s most highly decorated Bitch, having now added the biggest achievement of all our dogs – the Gundog Group win at Crufts in 2020.

She has overtaken her grandmother, GB Sh Ch & Ir Sh Ch Gwendariff Pop My Cork, in the list of CC wins and is now sitting as the joint second highest CC winner the kennel has ever produced, and in that as the kennel’s Bitch Record Holder. This is no mean feat when one considers the well known fact that hormones do play a dedicated part in the presentation of any bitch, whatever breed. We are justly proud of the achievements Elsie has attained.

Huge credit must go to Debs, a first time Irish Setter owner, who has diligently maintained Elsie’s coat condition, musculature and overall fitness come rain or shine, hail or snow. Debs’ dedication alongside our own drive and commitment has resulted in ‘Team Elsie’, being a tight knit unit who have her needs and results at the height of their agenda. Not only has Elsie won the most CC’s of any bitch we have bred but she has also won the Top CC Winners title, Top Irish Setter title and Top Bitch award too. As Debs’ main show dog, we felt it important that she enjoyed her time as a show dog rather than spending too much time as a mum.

Elsie has provided Debs and her husband Paul with new experiences, new friends in the dog world and of course our own friendship together has become a deeply valued part of our lives – this is the power of dogs. Dreams can indeed become a reality – this dream and the memories created are all thanks to one very special red lady – #Elsie.
